Pray for Orting!

Memorial honors
five slain children

Fellow students, teachers and others in the Graham-Orting area come together at a memorial service for the five dead Harrison children.

"Paper banners lined the back wall of the

gymnasium, each bearing crayon statements
declaring the importance of the Harrison
children to their classmates.
Maxine was so smart, her classmates say.

Everyone will miss Samantha and Jayme.
Heather was a best friend who will never be forgotten. James always made the best funny faces.

The communities of Orting and Graham
came together Thursday night for a memorial
at Orting High School to show their
support for Angela Harrison, and remember
her five children who were a big part of
area schools.  “You need to know that a community
and the world are looking, wondering how
we are going to get through this,” the Rev.
Lance Powers said during the ceremony.
“And Angela, I’m here to tell you we’re going
to make it through this.”

The five Harrison children were killed
early Saturday by their father, 34-year-old
James Harrison, who later killed himself.
Police said he was upset because he found
out his wife, Angela, was leaving him."
