ANSWER TO PRAYER!

My last prayer request was for Jim Greenacre, my dad, and the surgery that he was going to have.
After 6.5 hours of surgery the doctors were successful in removing both of his adrenal glands. He is healing wonderfully and is even getting ready to start speaking again.

This whole event has taught me patience. Hospitals, doctors, insurance and waiting for phone calls can make life slow down. The Bible says that the trying of our faith will produce patience in our life. I realize as unorganized as I can be at times, I still live by my watch or the clock on the wall. I am always wanting to know what time it is and when things will start or finish. Waiting for things is not something that we as Americans can handle very well. I have learned that no matter what time it is or how long it takes God is still sovereign and in control of everything.

Thank you so much for the prayers. Continue to pray for God's divine leading in my parents lives.

Pray For Jim Greenacre

Well most of you know that my dad was diagnosed with cancer. Well the cancer is a tumor that is the size of two full term babies. Today he met with a doctor that will perform the surgery. The doctor was optimistic that he could remove the tumor. What we thought was two possibly three tumors is probably just one tumor that is wrapped around most of the organs in the a
bdomen. I should know very quickly within the next day the date of the surgery.

So I ask that you would pray for my dad. The road is long. I will update as soon as I know more.

Continue to lift up our soldiers in prayer, through out this holiday season. So many of them will not be spending the holidays with their family's.

John 15:13 "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

Thank you Jeremy Ray for sacrificing for our country! Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!

Mission 20 focus on Asia

Four years ago this November my wife and I my parents and sister went to the Philippines for a mission trip. Little did I know how that trip would effect my life forever. I had the privilege of meeting some of the most strongest Christians that I have ever met and many that were several years younger than I .

Here we are with college students on the Island of Mindanao. I was really touched when one of these young men came up to me and asked "how did you find out what God's will was for your Life?". Well to answer that question, he has called all of us to obedience in following him, and has given all Christians a commission to preach the Gospel other than that I am still praying and striving to be in His will daily.
Here we are at an anniversary celebration in Manila a city of 17.5 million people.

The Teens of OCBC are focusing on Christians all over the world praying for them and seeking ways that they can help.

Would you take up the call of praying?
Our very own country is dying spiritually and prayer, humble hearts repenting and coming back to the Lord is what will bring us back. But it must start with you.

Deluge in rain-soaked Philippines buries 160

MANILA, Philippines - Driving rain on the heels of back-to-back storms triggered dozens of landslides across the northern Philippines on Friday, burying more than 160 people, washing away villages and leaving almost an entire province under water.

The latest deluge brought the death toll to nearly 500 from the Philippines' worst flooding in 40 years after storms started pounding the country's north on Sept. 26.

More than 160 people were killed in landslides in Benguet and Mountain Province along the Cordillera mountain range, about 125 miles north of Manila, officials said. Residents were jolted awake by the rumbling sound of mudslides and floodwaters tearing apart the saturated soil and washing away homes.

Check the rest of this story here

Continue to pray for the many people that are effected by the after math of the typhoon and the rains that are continueing to pound this region. Pray for continued protection for the missionaries and national Christians throughout the islands of Asia that are effected by these storms.

Pray for Lea

This is my friend from college, Lea Mulder. She is the one that has the brain tumor. She is still not out of the water yet. Please pray for her that she will be comforted by Gods love and her Christian family.
Pray for the doctors that they would have the skill and wisdom to know what to do.
